Gate to somewhere

It’s late tonight.  I’m returning home after a very long week;

Friday night nearing 10 pm. I left this morning about 6:45 and haven’t been home since then. Too busy doing good work across such a full day, then an evening spent in the company of new friends.

I drive up to parking garage gate. Stopping there, I pick up the remote, press the button, then wait as the gate begins to open.

opening gateI consider for a moment the many gates that are opening across various parts of my life.This is but one. So beautiful in its concreteness.

All gates open to something – new opportunities, connections, dreams. I only have to approach them, activate the switch and then . . . wait. So many openings in my work, my life, my future.

This one is fully open now. I have only but to drive through.

  3. I love this idea of actively opening gates in our path. Sometimes it takes more courage than I have. I admire your bravery and optimism. I’m looking forward to hearing more about what you find as you travel through those gates!
